To welcome in 2022, I sit down with you and chat about my approach for the upcoming year, how I’m taking a broader approach rather than making specific resolutions, and examine what’s working for me at the moment and how I intended to move forward. I also discuss my word of the year for 2022!
Looking into 2022
I keep things pretty informal and talk about my thoughts and goals for 2022, how I am taking a broader approach rather than making specific resolutions, and discuss my word of the year for 2022 – Mastery.
This year I am making my own mental health a priority. I talk about this in more depth and discuss the approach I will be taking to help with this. I also talk about what is working for me right now including:

having a white board near my desk with clinical cases, content ideas, things to read or listen to etc.

paper journaling
-
writing a card before bed with a problem I’d like to consider then journaling about that problem in the morning
-
eating the same thing most mornings
-
rotating through simple, but effective forms of exercise
-
keeping a buffer period of 1-2 hours before bed
-
keeping phone and other electronics out of the bedroom
-
considering the timeline of life and combating false senses of urgency. Asking how much things truly matter.
