I’m not going to promise that I can show you how to never have anxiety again. But I CAN show you how to reduce your sensitivity to anxiety and limit the impact that it has on your life. To me kicking anxiety’s ass means getting the knowledge, skills, and habits that you need to quiet the voice of anxiety whispering (or screaming) in your ear.
Your brain is a terrible scientist.
Instead of analyzing all of the available evidence and making an informed decision about situations in your everyday life, often it instead makes instant gut reactions based on faulty logic. In the field of psychology, we call these cognitive distortions. I like to just think of them as common thinking traps.
