Hello, friends. In this episode, I offer advice on two very different but important listener questions. The first dives into the depression motivation exercise that can be found in my book, F**k Depression, while the second focuses on abusive relationships.
As you probably all know by now, I’m a fan of non-traditional self-help books. I’m always looking for resources that are off the beaten path, especially things that people who might not like traditional self help books might respond to.
Out of the Woods is a new graphic novel written by Brent Williams and illustrated by Korkut Oztekin, and tells the story of a journey through depression and anxiety. Not only are the illustrations beautiful, but the story is personal and something a lot of you can probably relate to.
This is a chapter from my book, Hardcore Self Help: F**K Depression called “A Chapter About Suicide”. There has been a great deal of mention about suicide recently in the media and on social media. There have also been many questions and misunderstandings about the topic. This chapter is definitely not the end-all-be-all regarding suicide, but it’s supposed to be a tool to help you better understand yourself or a loved one. Many have expressed that they don’t know what to do when a friend is suicidal or how to help people aside from sharing the hotline number. This post is one way you can help. Share this post directly or for everyone on your social media feeds. You never know who is watching. Full written chapter below the video.
I’m sick! Therefore I am going to save my voice and skip the Q & A this week. Instead, I have a treat for you. This is a full chapter from my upcoming audiobook for Hardcore Self Help: F**k Depression. It is chapter 8 entitled Be Nice To The Future You. I talk all about setting yourself for success instead of self-sabotaging like usual.
